Weekend Getaway: Badian, Cebu

I had a whole day training in Cebu branch on 7th of December. My college friend iki was coincidentally within the area that time so I extended my stay to spend the weekend with her.
Conference Room @ Cebu Office

My officemates took care of me during the training, taking me out for Lunch  (Chika-an Restaurant) and Dinner. Thank you for the treat Mommy Lyn, you are always so accommodating!
Forgot the name of the resto but the bbq and its sauce is yumyum!

My dear friend offered her humble studio for a sleepover on Friday night. The  following morning, we decided to take a bus going to the southern part of Cebu. In a small, quiet town of Badian to see the Kawasan Falls and super calm waters of Badian Beach. It was a 3-hr drive from the City.

Two Kuyas guided us to the main falls of kawasan, there were also bamboo sculptures. We bought water and bibingka along the way. And when we got to the resort, we hurriedly ordered sinigang na liempo, lechon kawali and coconut juice for lunch. Hungry much, I asked for an extra rice!

With the bamboo raft, we were able to get within the falls and had a pressurized water massage. We then hiked up to the 2nd, 3rd and all the way up to the main source which was so isolated. The water was super cold, I had cramps but still made our way back thanks to kuya's help in massaging my feet. :D

We stayed at a small, quiet resort, La Playa Beach Resort, where I took some of the best sceneries I have ever shot!

Nike We Run Manila 2012

Nike We Run Manila 2012
December 02, 2012
Mall of Asia Grounds

Our first official 10k run and last running event for the year. Report says there were about 13,700 runners who joined the event. My time at 1hr 14mins was way better than my practice run at CME Running Event.

Here are some of the winners:

Finished first in the Under-24 Female category was Mia Constantino with 52 minutes and 29 seconds. Clarisse Francesca Yeung came in second with a time of 55 minutes while Immanuel Camino led the Under-24 Male category with 33 minutes and 30 seconds.

The event, aside from starting late and being crowded, was still a fun experience! And claiming booths for finisher shirts and loot bags are pretty much well-managed.

This Christmas-sy Feeling!

Christmas is oh so here! Christmas lights eveywhere, everybody's singing christmas carols; Christmas trees were up and lit. Ready for the season of giving!

While walking along the sidewalk towards the church, I saw a guy in a wheelchair and I suddenly remembered my college friend who was struck by polio in her young age. I admire her strong will and independence. They inspire me to be more optimistic whatever life brings.

Our Christmas tree is made of recycled bottles of softdrinks.
Creatively designed and engineered by my two sisters and mum!
Artistic isn't it?! =)

I worked on a Manger for my friend's 3rd grader

Mindanao 2012: Cagayan De Oro

Day 3: Cagayan De Oro, Misamis Oriental

From Bukidnon, our friends took us at a Pasalubong store to buy some goodies then dropped us off at Marco Hotel. It's time for us to say our byes to them, very kind people.

RM301, cottage is made of dark wood. It is near the pool and is the closest cottage to the main building.

As we indulged ourselves in the hot pool after dinner to relax,  Angel, who opt to stay at our cottage, came frantically and told us that there's a 'ghost' in our room. The room's lighting is actually a bit dim and the comfort room's mirror is too huge. I actually felt something spooky when we entered the room but ignored it. Scared of going back, we asked the receptionist to give us a room within the main building and luckily they have a vacant deluxe room at the 2nd floor. The ambience is better and we all did sleep well.

The Messy Room.
It's Monday and I forgot to turn off the alarm, so it goes off at 5:30 and I had a hard time going back to sleep. So what I did is, I wake everybody up and convinced them to just go around and explore the area.

Malasag Eco-Village is just 3.5 Kilometers away, we rented 2 Habal-Habals (Motorcycle) for Php150 each to take us up the hill. The breeze of morning brushing through our skin is refreshingly cool. It is the best time for motorcycle ride!

There's nothing much to see at Malasag Eco Tourism Village. Entrance Fee: Php10 each. There are just some tribal houses, animals, fauna, and flora around the area.

1.5 Kilometer away from the Eco-Village is Mapawa Adventure Park. Php50 each. There are activities in the area too, but we're there just for sight-seeing and picture-taking.

Tired, we went straight to buffet breakfast and gulped in a King's meal! Busog much... nap after =D

We packed up and checked out by 12:30 then stopped over at SM CDO to kill time. We still had enough to watch a movie! =D

The beautiful sunset.

Metro Manila we are back, good to see you again!
